History
Safco Mega Solutions dates back to 1973 where it operated as Safco Chemist Ltd managed by Late Pharm. Afon Solomon Adegboyega in Benin-City, Edo State (then Bendel State). It was mainly involved in retail, wholesale and distribution of pharmaceuticals in the community it was located. The company continued its operation even after his death in 1986 and was managed by his son Afon Adebayo who was a student at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.
In 2004 Safco Chemists Ltd was liquidated and Afonchies Pharmaceutical (www.afonchies.com) was formed. Afonchies pharmaceutical started from a retail pharmacy store in Ajah n 2004 and has grown to a chain of eleven (11) retail pharmacy stores in Lagos.
